Double Promotion at Orbis

We are pleased to announce the promotion of Tom McCarthy to Partner and Peter Waplington to Director. The promotions recognise their contribution to a busy period for Orbis, completing six deals in 2 months with an active pipeline for the next quarter, that is busier than ever before.

Since Tom joined the Orbis team in 2018 he has led deals that include the private equity backed management buy-out of Nationwide Hire, the sale of Make My Blinds to Mzuri, and the cross-border sale of re-manufacturer H L Smith to ATC drivetrain.

Tom commented “I am delighted to be joining the partner group at a time when there is such a vibrant M&A market. The team at Orbis have built an excellent reputation for providing strategic advice to entrepreneurs which I hope to enhance with my years of experience in the Industrials sector.”

Pete who joined Orbis in 2019 added “I’m excited to be working as part of the Orbis leadership team and our Clairfield International partners, to deliver our ambitious growth plans. We have a number of deals on the horizon and look forward to announce further additions to the team in the new year.”

The promotions also follow the recent hire of Harps Dhami, who has joined the Orbis team to co-ordinate cross border opportunities within Clairfield International, their global investment bank partner.
