Clairfield advises Lucky Duck Games on the sale to Goliath
Lucky Duck Games, a leading developer of crowdfunding and digital-hybrid board games, was sold to Goliath Games, one of the largest European toys & games companies.
Founded in 2016 in Cracow, Lucky Duck Games quickly obtained a significant market position in its segment. It established an innovative approach to the entertainment industry by creating digital-hybrid board games. The titles include both the company’s own creations and remakes of existing brands. Key published labels include Vikings Gone Wild, Chronicles of Crime, Kingdom Rush, Destinies, and The Dark Quarter. Currently its main commercial geographies are English, French, Polish, and Italian-speaking countries; however, sales are performed around the world in over 25 languages and to dozens of markets.
The founder and other shareholders of Lucky Duck Games chose Goliath Games as the company’s new parent. The new owner is a leading European toys and games developer with recently released titles of Alice’s Garden, Carcata, and Green Team Wins.
With the acquisition of Luck Duck, Goliath gains competency in digital-hybrid solutions as well as crowdfunding. Goliath’s global market reach and strength will help in the growth of these products.
The transaction comprises 100% of the shares of Lucky Duck Games.
