Clairfield supports Nordic Climate Group on entry into UK and Ireland markets

Clairfield has supported Nordic Climate Group on its entry to the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland and advised on the acquisition of four companies. The entry into the UK and Irish markets mark a major milestone in Nordic Climate Group’s international growth journey.

Nordic Climate Group is a leading player in cooling, heating, and energy-efficient installations. Founded in 2021, the Group consists around 100 companies with more than 2,000 employees across Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, and the Netherlands. Ownership is shared between entrepreneurs, employees and Altor Fund V.

The four acquisitions comprise:

  • Anglo Irish Refrigeration – a commercial refrigeration specialist with operations across the Republic of Ireland and in Northern Ireland.
  • CSD Air Conditioning Limited – a rapidly growing air conditioning installation and service business based in Glasgow. Founded in 2017, the business caters to customers in the hotel, retail, and commercial sectors.
  • Technical Retail Services Limited – a Glasgow-based provider of refrigeration, electrical and mechanical services with operations across Scotland and England.
  • Allcool (NW) Limited – a well-established refrigeration, air-conditioning and service company based in Poulton-le-Fylde near Blackpool.

In early 2025, Nordic Climate Group decided to replicate its success in the Nordics and the Netherlands by creating a UK and Irish group through acquiring owner managed HVACR businesses. As we start 2026, the UK and Irish group now comprises seven companies. As part of the transactions, the existing management teams remain and continue the growth trajectory of their businesses.

Alexander Vitols, Head of Corporate Development and M&A at Nordic Climate Group commented: “The support of Clairfield UK has been a key part of our success as we expand our buy-and-build journey into the UK and Ireland. Clairfield’s support has enabled Nordic Climate Group to accelerate our ambitious acquisition strategy.”

Andy Kennedy, Manager at Clairfield UK added: “From a standing start in Spring 2025 to assisting in the creation of a multi-million pound group across the UK and Republic of Ireland before the year finished has been a very exciting project. Clairfield have developed a compelling buy and build support service that allows our clients to rapidly scale. Our partnership with Nordic Climate Group continues into 2026 with numerous deals in progress. We look forward to announcing more UK and Irish businesses joining Nordic Climate Group in the coming months.”

The Clairfield team acted as Nordic Climate Group exclusive financial advisor and comprised Andy Kennedy, Harps Dhami, Liam O’Sullivan and Tom McCarthy.

Legal advice to Nordic Climate Group was provided by the team at Stephenson Harwood, led by Richard Coleman, Emily Davies and Gary McArthur. Financial due diligence was provided by Cortus Advisory, led by Paul Kithoroy and James Milton.
